Professional Biography:

Music has always played a large role in Sheera’s life. Beginning at age six, Sheera began violin lessons (thanks, Mom) and continues to enjoy playing today as a member of Symphonicity, the Symphony Orchestra of Virginia Beach. In high school, Sheera performed with the New York Youth Symphony at Carnegie Hall. As a result, she knows the answer to the question "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice!"

Sheera wasn’t always playing around. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies at George Washington University in 1996 and her law degree from Albany Law School in 1999. Since graduating law school, Sheera has focused on family law issues - collaborative divorce, litigation, equitable distribution, support, custody, visitation, protective orders and appellate practice. In 2005, Sheera obtained her CFP® certification. As a Certified Financial Planner^TM professional, Sheera applies her skills to obtain the best financial settlements for her clients.

Sheera’s practice area also includes estate planning for families. As a parent, Sheera understands the importance of planning for the future. Having the right documents in place to protect your children in the event of an emergency as well as protecting your financial assets are critical components in every family plan. Sheera’s comprehensive perspective of her clients’ state of affairs insures that her clients’ financial assets as well as their family legacy are passed to the next generation.

Sheera is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia Beach Bar Association, Family Law Organization of Greater Hampton Roads, Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Hampton Roads, International Association of Collaborative Professionals, Financial Planning Association and Virginia Collaborative Professionals. Selected for inclusion in Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011,  Sheera is committed to providing all of her clients the personal attention they each deserve.

Sheera resides in Virginia Beach and loves spending her free time with her husband and two young children.
