Paradigm Shift
With this sense of “unknowing,” our eventual direction depends upon how we choose to see our situations. We are not victims here. Divorce is not only a close of sorts but also an inception. For many, it is a move toward authenticity–with less need for posturing and appeasing; a space for what is real starts to increasingly reveal itself. “Needs” are naturally examined in this time of transition, and it is refreshing to see that paring down and edging toward more simplicity can be soul empowering. The social checklist of to-dos seems laughably dated, and regrets hold no power beyond the literal–wish it would have worked, but it didn’t–so–forward we move–not towards “more,” but towards the pared down essentials: what is really important here? Can we uncomplicate this so we are joyful and hopeful, fresh and free to be present?
