my pretrial was supposed to be in July and here it is october and he and his lawyer has either not shown up or rescheduled everydate and as of now they just cancelled our date for 10/15 and we have no date how do they get away with this he has ignored all court orders and they don't show up for court and yet nothing happens to them and my three year old is the one suffering so much for looking out for the best interest of the child. The things my daughter tells me make my skin crawl and there is nothing I can do since i can't get to court because they won't show up my next step is going to have to be call child services on him myself

i am going through a custody battle with for my 3year daughter I went through a 6mth period of drinking before I realized that i needed to stop and got help on her 1st birthday and have been sober 2 years her father is an alcoholic and drug user who has tested positive thru the courts for cocaine and failed to take follow up tests but yet they refuse to grant me full custody and still allow him to have her everyother week unsupervised and are not monitoring his drinking yet have me on random screening for the past six months and continuing every week and all are negative. It makes no sense how is that in her best interest i've gone to the court with complaints that he drops her off and he's been drinking and still nothing I fear for my daughter and no one seems to care. I shutter everytime the phone rings when he has her that its going to be the call that something happened and i will hold the judge personally responsible for inactivity to the evidence and lack of response to his continued drug abuse
the family court system fails our kids in such an awful way some one should look into their practices.

I am in the same situation. Beware that your finances will dictate the outcome , so BE prepared. Research on the internet shows ONCE the order is written it is next to impossible to overturn. My children's therapist was not even allowed to testify! the courts assumption that the GAL was unbiased....... WRONG
